Pool information
Swimming blocks
There are six blocks throughout the year. One block runs for eight weeks and continues throughout the year, except for a four week break at Xmas. Once you are registered, you are committed to on going lessons as the Blocks roll by. Students can enrol and join a class at any time during a block.
Pool Temperature
Our pool is a balmy 33 degrees all year long – tested four times daily and treated accordingly. We can guarantee your experience in our water to be crystal clear and completely hygienic.
Make up policy
We understand how busy things get with life commitments meaning sometime a change may be needed. Make-up lessons are available on request subject to availability only and must be used before the end of the Block.
Changing rooms
Our private changing rooms are dry and kept warm year round. There is also a large change bench for babies and toddlers. Our change rooms do not include individual change cubicles. It is important to use common sense when using changing areas. To establish safe boundaries, we kindly request that individuals assisting children of the opposite gender who are aged over 5yrs use the area in our staff room rather than the changing room.
Viewing Area
Rangitoto Swim School has a purpose built viewing area where caregivers can view their child’s lesson. The area has a flat-screen TV, toys and a play zone for little ones.
Parking
RSS provide our swimming families with private off street parking right outside our school. Please do not park in our neighbours car parks these are tow away parks. If unsure please ask at reception.
Swim accessories
At Rangitoto Swim School we sell goggles, caps, boards etc. Our goggles are of the highest quality and we will show you how to fit your childs goggles.
Swim Nappies
Not yet toilet trained? Swim nappies will be required, we sell Huggies little swimmers at our front desk in sizes sml/med/lrg.
